I am a senior, soon to be graduate, at Indiana University in Indianapolis, majoring in Philanthropic Studies. Born and raised in the Hoosier state of Indiana, I was raised with knowing many different parts of Indianapolis. Growing up I was taught the basic values and morals of having respect, being honest and always working hard.

Along with those values and morals I was taught about doing more than just being a good person in general. Why not do for others that may not be able to do for themselves if it doesn't hurt you? I saw these characteristics in my parents, even at times when it caused them to struggle. I became an adult with this sense of needing to make a difference in the world and to make sure that my path helps to create something good for others and my family.

I highly value our youth in this country and their access to a good quality education. I care about community and citizens having a sense of belonging within theirs. Humanity is more than just the collective of people who make up the human race, it is the body of our society encompassed with benevolence, compassion, equality and truth! I want to be a part of building up our society where all of humanity can experience these characteristics.
